👶 Anganwadi Centres / Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Scheme
The Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Scheme was launched on 2 October 1975 with the aim of ensuring the overall development and health care of children. In Puliyoor Grama Panchayat, 16 Anganwadi Centres are functioning as the basic units for delivering ICDS services.

- Improve the nutritional and health status of children from birth to six years of age.
- Provide a strong foundation for their physical, mental, and social development.
- Reduce the rates of infant mortality, illness, and malnutrition.
- Effectively coordinate the programmes and activities of various departments.
- Provide health and nutrition education to parents.

| Pregnant Women | Nutritional support, IFA tablets, antenatal check-up, PMMVY (Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana), and health & nutrition awareness programmes. |
| Lactating Mothers | Nutritional support, postnatal check-up, breastfeeding awareness, and second instalment under PMMVY. |
| Adolescent Girls | Nutritional support, health check-up, BMI monitoring, adolescent awareness classes, and counselling services. |

💰 Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY)
- Financial assistance of ₹5,000 for the first childbirth.

🥗 Poshan Abhiyaan
Poshan Abhiyaan is a national programme implemented to address malnutrition among mothers and children and to promote a healthy lifestyle.
