Vision and Mission
In accordance with the general objectives of the Local Self Government Department (LSGD) of Kerala, the Vision and Mission envisioned by the Puliyoor Grama Panchayat in Alappuzha district are based on the following key objectives:
Vision
"To become a self-reliant model local self-government institution based on democratic principles and active public participation. To create a safe and sustainable social environment that gives priority to the needs and opinions of all sections of the people."
Mission
Puliyoor Panchayat primarily gives priority to the following aspects in its development processes:
Sustainable Development and Livelihood: Ensure sustainable income sources and employment opportunities for the rural population by promoting agriculture, animal husbandry, and small-scale industries.
Infrastructure Development: Ensure better roads, transport facilities, public buildings, and clean water supply (e.g., precise implementation of projects like Jal Jeevan Mission).
Complete Sanitation: Maintain a clean environment through rigorous and scientific solid and liquid waste management methods.
Social Security: Implement special welfare schemes for the marginalized, the poor, women, children, and the elderly, ensuring the eradication of poverty.
Digital Services and Transparency: Deliver panchayat services to the people quickly and transparently by making maximum use of E-governance systems.
Health and Education: Improve the health standards of the rural population through awareness programs and primary healthcare facilities, and develop the physical infrastructure of schools.
